As a Communication Design major, coming into Graphics 217 I had a strong background of all the programs and basic techniques and fundamentals of layouts. However, the saying "you learn something new every day" holds true to its meaning as there were aspects I did not know and picked up on. I enjoyed the resume project the most as that is the only project I have never experienced before. It was good to get my resume started in order to send it out for internships and job opportunities.

Design is not natural and practice makes perfect. By having problems to solve and assignments to accomplish I feel myself as a designer has grown. Those little mistakes a month ago that I have learned from help me immensely.

I am currently working toward developing the skills to soon begin producing my own created projects to build up my portfolio. Last week I was amazed by the looks of the senior portfolios as I thought I'd never be able to accomplish such a thing. However, within time my progression as a designer will increase rapidly and I'll be amazed with myself just as I was amazed with the seniors. I hope to apply for art director internships in my future to visually broadcast my ideas throughout the community.
