Wrap up post_ Talia Rossman

This is completely one of those times when I feel so sad and so happy at the same time. I loved the class because it was unlike anything I have ever taken before. It wasn’t the usual reading and memorizing and taking exams. It was more like an art class on the computer. I love art and if I could fit it into my schedule to take art classes I would. This satisfied my art class craving. It taught me to pay attention to detail and think about things that I have never thought about before. I also am so thankful that I learned how to use the adobe programs. Knowing how to work these programs is so valuable. I had to complete an advertising campaign and was able to use the adobe programs and I really don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t know how. I also love working really hard on something and having it pay off. I never felt like my hard work was overlooked in this class. The grade you receive directly reflects the effort and time you put into the projects and I really appreciated that when I worked hard, I was rewarded for it. I also really appreciated the feedback I got from Hedges during office hours and when we got our projects back. Usually teachers place a grade on the project with a few scribbled comments and that’s it. I spent countless hours on these projects and liked that he took the time to write a full-page response to my work and why I received the grade I did.

I have also become a graphics nerd, the other day I was driving and I tapped my friend who also is taking graphics and said “Ugh look at that font on the awning, there is so much visual tension”

Not kidding!

Anyway, I was really lucky to have taken this class. Hedges is a great teacher and a true expert and I learned so much from taking his class.

Have a great summer everyone!
